Great Brownies

Author: Tara
Rating: No Votes
Description: Great tasting brownies

Ingredients:
¼ c butter  (24 phe)
90 grams Chocolate flavored Almond Bark (129 phe—for Fisher’s Chef’s Natural…other barks are lower)
¼ c packed brown sugar (0 phe)
1 package of chocolate instant pudding (56 phe)
3 tablespoons of Hershey’s unsweetened cocoa (195 phe)
5 tablespoons WATER (0 phe)
1 tsp baking powder (0 phe)
1/4 tsp salt (0 phe)
1 cup Wel Plan (or Loprofin) (Loprofin is 9 phe)

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  In a medium mixing bowl, combine brown sugar , pudding mix and cocoa. Gradually add water, mixing well.

Melt almond bark and butter in microwave (90 seconds to start, stir and then 20 seconds more if needed).   Add melted chocolate/butter into the sugar/pudding/cocoa  and mix well.

In a separate bowl, stir together Baking Mix, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture, mixing until thoroughly combined.

Spread batter into a greased 8- or 9- inch square baking pan, smoothing top with the backside of a spoon.  Bake for 15 minutes.  Cool on wire rack, then cut into bars.

Notes:
Total phe is 413.  (Phe is calculated based on the ingredients I am using…if you use other brands you will have to recalculate)

Recipe cards passed down from generation to generation, annotated cookbooks, slips of paper, and magazine clippings: an unwieldy and fragile collection that deserves a home. Look for software with an auto fill function to speed recipe entry. Once compiled, create an online version or print traditional cookbooks. Look for Web and paper templates, the ability to add photos, and the flexibility to change the layout for best results.
