Hi all, I am 42 years old with classic PKU. I was taken off diet at age 6 as part of a study at Childerns Hospital in Chicago. The study was to determine if life long diet was best,I think it is. It is very hard to get back even after a few months. I joined this forum to try and find other adults and families in Michigan. My family and I are from Illinios and it doesn't seem like there are that many of us in this state, or the resources and support. We are in the northwestern part of the state and have been told the only place for clinics is Detroit. Kind of hard to do these days just to get a perscription for formula. I would very much like to give and receive any information posible. I hope this forun stays active and grows. Looking forward to hearing from others.

Hi Diana, I am glad to hear from you. My daughter (9yrs old) has PKU. My wife knows of some other adults in the state with PKU that are trying to get back or stay on diet. I have her get in touch with you.
I too hope the forum grows.

John
